June Sais Quoi

How long have I not written a normal sincere blog post? Far too long. My life has been... I'm not kidding you... FREAKING INSANE. I've got exams to finish (last on is ont he 4th of July...THE FUDGE?! You inconsiderate bunch of bastards!), I've got trips that I have already taken in the past few weeks and some thousands more to take, guests from my past coming, and a lot, a lot of goodbyes. So let's start explaining all the craziness that's already been going on in the past two months and continue on the path to the plans for July and August, which in comparison to them, May and June are a freaking knock knock joke.
The past two months:
I have basically graduated high school. I got a graduate diploma, a social excellence diploma for being student body president, and an academic excellence diploma, which my parents were all so proud of, and so was I. You don't know this, but it took me a long time to decide that this will be the high school that I will be attending after I came back from my two years abroad. I didn't know anybody there at the time, when I joined the school in the middle of middle school, and I didn't want to get back to my old group of friends that I was a part of in lower school. I must be honest to tell you this was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I became a part group of a really good crowd of people, and a large one at that. Besides that I can literally say that out of the entire senior class of around 250 students I dislike maybe 2, and get along with the most. These people were amazing, and accepting, and didn't judge me for my oddities, and I have many, from the very beginning. Sometimes I had rough patches with some of them, but being the  person I am, I click with a lot of different varieties of people, and I rarely ever got into clashes with anybody. So even if I really don't want any of them to freaking read this, I want them to telepathically know that I love them, and am so so sad to have to say goodbye to them all. Besides that I had amazing opportunities at school like the three delegations I took part in, student body, and amazing classes with very interesting teachers. So I'm as grateful as can be for the past four years. They were years very well spent.
As a graduation trip, the school took us into the city for the entire night. I mean we did not sleep, at all. We drove there (about three or four hours ride) by bus, but we didn't sit with our homeroom like we usually did on class trips and so forth. We sat with mixed home rooms, so I picked to sit with the one I have the most friends with, one of which is Tiny, which you might remember from past stories. I wasn't sitting next to her from the very beginning, and was sitting at the front of the bus. They played a sad goodbye song (Leaving On A Jet Plane) thinking they're oh-so-clever and oh-so-charming to make me teary eyed (the only one on the entire freaking bus), and I started crying, because I'm a girl like that, and I was trying to hide it, but the girl sitting next to me heard me sniffling a sob so she decided it was a smart idea to just yell "Oh look how sweet! Roni's crying", and I'm like.... Shut up bitch... Only much nicer than that, and Big Guy hears her, because he's sitting across from us, and says "Oh really? So you've got a heart now?". Apparently I don't show much emotions... Boo-freaking-hoo.. Kill me. My friend then goes on explaining she's probably thinking about how she won't ever see half of this senior class after today (good call pal), to which Big Guy replies in his snake charming voice (when I say snake charming, I mean both a snake, and a charmer, not a charmer of snakes) "don't worry Roni, we'll keep in touch" and winks, at the same time as I say "oh this is probably the same half of the senior class I really don't care about", which, because it was said in the exact same time, sounded kind of like a diss to him. Oooppsss.
So after a while I get tired of the crowd in the front of the bus, so I go sit next to Tiny in the back of the bus and we talk and stuff. I flirt with Mr. Perfect, who's taken now, but the heck I saw him first (probably didn't.. So what? Fuck off!). Then, Mr. Perfect's quite handsome (and not far from perfect himself) friend sits with Tiny and I. We cram in the three of us into one bus stool, which kinda feels like an odd orgy. But we talked and laughed and it was great. I never knew him too well, I only knew him by his name and a little background, but never invested myself into getting to know him too well. Then I got a little car sick so I went back to sit in the front section of the bus, and, Tiny told me later, this new mister, Mr. Mystery, told her right after I got up that I'm cute, and how come we've never talked before, so Tiny said to him, you seriously missed out, and he said I can see I did. Later on the bus rides from one place to another in the city Mr. Mystery and I sat together alone, and talked and flirted and laughed, which was nice, and like a new door has opened up for me. A new door of opportunities. On a later bus ride after touring the entire city, and flirting with a bunch of guys from my grade, Big Guy asked me on the bus whether or not he'll see me in the party later on that night, and I said maybe very sheepishly, knowing that he looks at me every single party that he sees me in, and can't stop staring at me, and then he said "I hope you do".
That night we do end up going to that party, almost the entire group of our friends, but what's a party with a big group of girls without a bit of drama?! One of the girls gets there far too late and far too pissed of at all of her friends who've been trying to help her, and drinks just a teenie weenie too much. By the time we get to the party she isn't feeling well, and me and another friend are a little too late to get to check up on her so she points at my friend and says "I hate you", and the points to me "And you're pathetic so you can also leave", and I'm like.... Ppfffffttttt OH REALLY. My other friend takes it really hard cause A. she's drunk, and B. she cares too much about the stupid girl's opinion, but me? I don't I tell the rest of the girls to watch her and get her home, because I ain't no bitch, but I just get up and walk away after she says "so you can also leave", and I say "fine I will". I wasn't hurt by her because I know I'm not "pathetic", and if I ever were to be I would still be less pathetic than she was at that moment. You're drunk, about to throw up in front of your entire grade, looking like a hot mess, and I am the "pathetic" one? I think not. I just thought she had some nerve to say these things to us after we took care of her the entire night so that she could come to the party (we had to wait hours for her to show up, not knowing if she's even going to show up in the end, and rush to hop on the taxi, I literally had to run to catch the taxi), and after we come to check up her. She's got some nerve. I am not mad at her anymore I am not holding any grudges or anything, because I'm better than that, and I shouldn't act like a five year old, but I'm kind of done. I mean I'm not going to ignore her because I don't want no drama, but a friend who treats you like this on a regular basis, when she feels like it, and pushes you around, does not deserve me as a friend, and I do not deserve being put down.
Later on though, things get better, cause I talk to Mr. Mystery, and flirt a little more with him and with Big Guy, which always puts you in a better mood when you're being complimented. Mr. Guy though, has been ignoring me for days already, and it got really weird when he said hi to the girl next to me at the party, and said nothing to me, and didn't even look at me. I don't feel the same way I did for him as I did before, but it's still quite offensive to have the son of a gun ignore me.
Days pass, and we're getting ready for summer camp so we meet up a lot. Yesterday we did a writing session for the senior songs CD that we bring out every year for summer camp, and it was hilarious. Just insane. I love them so much. Another goodbye, though.
Tonight I hosted a BBQ for my homeroom to say yet another goodbye, which is no fun whatsoever, and I am feeling horrible, so I didn't feel like hosting anything. I think I got a cold from sitting outside last night until very very late writing songs with the nut cases I call my friends. But I couldn't have asked for better people, and a better experience than I had had with my homeroom the past three years. These kids made me the happiest, the most comfortable and welcomed I have ever felt, and I am so grateful for that. And there's a huge rock weighing down my chest because... I just am going to miss them so much. And I hate goodbyes because I always cry (already managed to cry for about an hour today after the BBQ). I just sincerely love these people like brothers and sisters, and I feel like not seeing them everyday is... heart breaking.
This is summing up what's happened up until now. What's about to happen is some crazy shit. It's gonna be all shades of nuts. Tomorrow early in the morning I have an interview for a job I might get in about a year. It's an interesting job, but I don't know much about it yet. Later on tomorrow a family that hosted me a part of my two years abroad is coming to visit me, which is sweet, but I haven't really managed to keep in touch with them over the years, so hopefully it won't be terribly awkward. Later this week will be my very final exam of my high school experience on Thursday, and on Friday we go on 8 days of summer camp. This is when I start living out of bags for the next month or so. The very next day I go to a little seminar with the people that will be attending college with me next year, which has to be interesting, but I'm resenting it for some reason. Possibly cause I'm scare, possibly cause I've had an amazing time the past three years, and don't really feel like starting something new when I'm not yet near done with high school. But that meeting is in the city so I have to drive in after not sleeping well for around 8 days if not more.
The very next day I have to be in the city again, because I'm flying out to Greece with a bunch of my best friends. We're staying there 5 days for a fun beach holiday, and then we get back. The very very next day I have to be back in the city though, because I'm flying out to my momma who's moving to Norway for half a year for her job. So I won't see her for half a year after the two week I'll spend there, which is bound to be hard as hell. I'll try my best to write in the next two months, but I doubt I'll be able to write much, because I will be living out of a suitcase. Not complaining, though. I'm going to have the time of my life. I am excited about this time. It has some je ne sais quoi about it. Some mystery. Some magic.
So my favorites the past two months have been:
1) 2 Broke Girls. Best comedy ever. I'm not even kidding you guys. This is my exact humor- sexual, dirty, sarcastic, but not vulgar! Hilarious hilarious hilarious story about a rich New York elite girl who loses all her money and meets up with another broke girl who's always had to work hard and fend for herself, and together they try rising up. Just freaking crazy and amazing. Can't wait for next season.... CANNOT!

2) Happy Endings. Sweet little comedy I started watching when I finished 2 Broke Girls. Not nearly as funny in my opinion, but still very lovable, and I am so sad they have canceled it. Hope they go all Cougar Town with it, and film it in a cheaper setting to close it up nicely.

3) Baby Daddy. Season 2 is just... 20 times better than the first. I just freaking love Danny (Derek Theler) so much. He's such an adorable character, which is funny because I tuned in in the first place to watch Jean Luc Bilodeau, but I just like Derek SO FREAKING MUCH. I follow after them all on Instagram, and they are just so cute.

4) LOL. Cutest movie I've seen in a long time. The guy interest in the movie is just the perfect personality for a men in my opinion. Confident, and caring, and honest, a good friend, a musician. That's what made this movie so lovable for me. Love her new song, too, and even though the music video is crazy and a little over over the top, I appreciate the creativity put into it.

5) Nashville. Watched that show in like 2 days because I loved Gunnar. Again, he just possesses most of the qualities I see in the perfect man.. He's just adorable. Loved the music in it, which has majorly affected my playlist with songs like I will fall, If I Didn't Know Better, and so forth. Love country music even more so now than I did then. I also love Maisy and Lennon, and think they are absolutely amazing and crazy talented, and hope to see more of them, because they are just.. Mind blowing.

6) Stubborn Love by The Lumineers. This song has amazing lyrics, and I just love the video for some reason they touched my heart very deep. I just fell in love with it very very quickly.
7) Tip Of My Tongue by The Civil Wars. Such a seductive song, but so genuine and true, and loving. I just adore it.

8) Pretties. Not yet done with it but so freaking close. I just love this series so much. They make it sound so real, and it sounds so realistic that people would think to make us all look the same and think the same.

I don't really have beauty favorites these past two months, because I have been very constant with products and all, but I promise to try out some new things. Love you, and probably should go to sleep if I want to wake up in time for my interview tomorrow. XOXO Roni J.

The Little Things (January Favorites)

Happy Sunday to us all! How are we today? I hope that great, because we all deserve some greatness in our everyday life.
If you're asking what's going on with this home bud, then the answer is that I am abso-freaking-lutely exhausted, in a good happy cheerful way, but still. I had an amazing birthday. I was reminded of how lucky and fortunate I am to have some of the people I have In my life. My family of course is a big part of it. On Friday morning we went on to the country to eat brunch on a ranch where it was peaceful and green. And the rain came falling down in gallons but we were inside by the fireplace and we sat there for hours drinking cider, which is my favorite hot drink, and talking. We sat there doing what seems like only my family would- solving crosswords and answering trivia questions that come in the Friday newspaper, and I had the time of my life. There is no group of people I would rather spend time with than my family.

I was joyed by a number of people who wrote me some really wonderful things for my birthday. A few that stuck out were a guy friend of mine that I have only gotten to know this year really. I was really quite emotional to get what he wrote to me. He proved to me what I thought was true, that we're turning to be really good friends. I just love him. Another is a guy that went to primary school with me and he and I were barely in touch through the course of the past few years, and then started reconnecting through mutual taste in music that we posted on Facebook, and he sent me a song "Winter Song" saying he knows it's both weather and music taste appropriate and this is one little thing that made me light up. Another is my best childhood friend. I know her literally since I was born and she sent me the most emotional "thank you for being here for me". Her family and friends always judge her a lot and she thanked me for being the only person in her life that doesn't, which to me is the best thing someone could ever say. It means that she really is grateful for our friendship just as much as I am for it. Another was an old crush of mine. He's what I would call the perfect man. He's smart as hell, athletic, looks good, terribly sweet and caring, funny. He has it all. It's been two years or so since my crush on him, but I'm always gonna have something for him because how could you not? And then. He started talking to me on Facebook and then realized it's my birthday and congratulated me and all and then asked me how I was planning to celebrate it so I said jokingly "family friends and a lot of guys" and he asked "oh really? Which guys?" So I replied-"whichever. I am desperate", and then he said the sweetest thing "you? Desperate?! You have absolutely no reason to be desperate״. I know it's a small little thing but I love this guy so much, even if as a friend, and hearing him, Mr. Perfect, say that to me is like the peek of my dreams. Later on in the conversation he told me that he misses me, and that he wishes we'd talk more. At this point it was like my heart was taken out of my chest by him and then put in the microwave until it exploded. I just love him!! My friends then made me breakfast yesterday after a long night at a club (probably one of the worst club experiences of my life 'cause we were all so tired) and I was reminded of how grateful I am for them as well. So those are the little things that made my birthday.

Now these are the little things that made my month:
1)T.V. Shows:
*The Carrie Diaries. It tells the story of little miss Carrie Bradshaw before her Sex and the City, when she was still a young little virgin. It's a really sweet teen show, and it's really quite entertaining. You're sure to love it if you loved Sex and the City. It premiered earlier this month and I am addicted.
*Skins the British edition. I'm not kidding when I say I finished the first four seasons in less than two weeks. I was a hardcore addict, but you know what?! THEY KILLED ALL MY FAVORITE FREAKING CHARACTERS! Not to spoil anything, hence you don't know who they killed. I just love that show so much!
2) Movies:
*The Silver Linings Playbook. I thought it would be more of a comedy, but it has quite a lot of nutcase drama in it. Nonetheless I loved it very much.
*The Intouchables. Really good french film. I saw it with my family this past week, and we all enjoyed it. It's terrific. The acting is amazing, the story is inspiring, and the comedy is top notch!
3) Musician:
*Passanger. I discovered this guy only this month, and I honestly don't know how I had lived prior to hearing his music. Absolutely up my street. Hits every note that makes my heart melt or my eyes tear up. I don't have enough good things to say about his lyrics and music. The lyrics are all so descriptive, and so picturesque. They truly tell a heartbreaking story in so little lines. They melody is so serene and soothing.
4) Song:
*What You're Thinking by Passanger (surprise surprise). Better hear it for yourself. I think I have already put it up in one of the posts lately, but darn it, I am an addict.
5) Perfume:
*Number 8 by Abercrombie. I have already written a few reviews and descriptions of it. The shame is that I am running out of it, and I haven't been able to find it in any near Abercrombie recently for the strangest reason. Don't run out on me please!
6) Nail Polish:
*Markwins. I never knew this brand, but I bought four of their nail polishes in Target I think, and I fell in love with the red shade "Dark Red". I'm not even sure it has a name. Apparently they've got something to do with Wet n' Wild, but honest to God I have no idea really. It's sparkly, and wintery, and lovely and I just love it. Good application with only two coats that lasts a long time.
Love a lot and hope your week turns out to be great :D XOXO Roni J.

Those Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

Hello there girls. How are we? Hope that well enough to read a little about my October favorites. Happy elected president to all the Americans in the crowd, by the way. And happy Friday, as well. There's just something about Fridays. The sun shines differently. If you look closely, you can definitely deter the difference between a Friday sunshine and an everyday sunshine. Even through the storming skies. The smell of the air is different. The air itself is lighter, and each house you pass by gives its own cooking scent. Sometimes you smell beef stew, sometimes you smell chicken noodle soup. I love Fridays.
I know that I am late again with this, but we all know it had to come sometime soon. My October favorites are here. This month has been quite constant with a lot of products, but very different to the past months. There are also many random favorites so keep reading :).

Fashion:

1) My ear cuffs. My pack of three ear cuffs. One in gold, one in silver and one in rose gold that I bought together in River Island in the very beginning of October while on the delegation. I have literally been wearing them every single day since. Sine there are three shades it's really just a blast to match one to every outfit, although, I must admit, I have worn the silver one the most. I wanted to get my helix pierced in the past, but I am quite against piercings and tattoos (on myself that is, on other people I even tend to like it), and have heard a thousand horror stories about getting it pierced that I decided I better just go for a fake one. Plus I like that they're wider that the piercing itself better than the width of the average piercing.

2) Hats. Yes, hats. I love beanies like a mustardy yellow one from Forever 21 I bought approximately 5 years or 4 years ago. I also love bowler and wool hats like one I've seen in Zara, which costs quite a lot for me, because I am not a working person who's still dependent on her parents a little too much to waste money on things like that, but I have one just like it in gray without all the embellishments. They are such a cute wintery addition to any fall winter outfit. I do find that this picture makes it look a little brighter than it is in real life just so you know.
3) Maxi skirts. Me and my sister (who's finally back, by the way, don't know if I mentioned this at all) have gotten really into them. I have one that's burnt red from Weekdays, one that's olive green from River Island, and a black one from Forever 21. They are seriously the most flattering thing I have worn in my life.

Beauty:
1) Star of Bombay nail polish by Orly. Oh, how I love me some dark winter nail polishes. This one is the perfect one for fall, because it looks black unless you're in the light, in which it gets the bluish purplish tinge. I wore it so so much this month, and I am not one to wear one color constantly at all.

2) L'Oreal Elvive Re-Nutrition conditioner. A bit of an odd one, but it is seriously the most softening conditioner I have ever used. With my hair being dyed and all, which I will be removing soon, because I have a pet peeve with split ends. Split ends make me OCD. My hair naturally is really freaking healthy, because I never straighten, curl, or use products on it besides shampoo and conditioner, and I cannot stand its current state. Yet, somehow it remains soft thanks to this savior of a conditioner. I really love it. I've gone through five or six bottles of it already, because it's a constant favorite two years now.

3) Toni Gard for women eau de perfum. It is a sweet, sophisticated, but not old scent. It's actually my sister's, but I stole it, because that's what little sisters do. I have gotten so many compliments on it when I wore it that I decided "hmm.. Me gusta!".
Random:
1) Corny love songs. I was, unlike me at all, in a loving mood this month, and got butterflies, and was like the average teenage girl this month. For examples: When I Look To The Sky by Train, For You I Will by Teddy Geiger, Begin Again by Taylor Swift, and Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg.

2) Revenge the T.V. show. Me and my sister started making it our little thing to watch the first season together. We started watching it because the lead has actually played in Brothers And Sisters, which is another show we loved. We are on episode 4 or 5 of the first season, and it is twisted, and I love the revealing the past. It is displaying everything that's bad about us humans: greedy, grudge holders that are incapable of forgiving others. I love it. The acting is actually quite good, as well. I actually really like the tattoo she has of forever and always or something like that with the two infinity signs.

3) Looper the movie. I know many people say it's crapy, but I absolutely loved it. Me and my friend went to watch it this month and it was so confusing. It's about time traveling and all crazy things like that. It's abso-freaking-lutely incredible. It's surprising, and crazy, and sad, and wonderful. Loved it so much.

4) Fishbowl Racer!! My favorite iPhone app game of all times. It's the most mind numbing probably, as well. It's one of those games that make you stupid. You need to make the bowl jump, and the fish jump, and it's just freaking awesome. Don't try it if you want to have social life, because this shenanigans is addictive.

5) Red, Taylor Swift's album and particularly the song Last Time, which is a collaboration with Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol, which I love on its own, but it is so charming, and sad, and you can feel raw emotions in it. I just adore it, and have played it over and over so many times.

Hope we have a lovely November. Love you all. XOXO Roni J.

Life's Good (August Favorites)

Hello there ladies. How have you been?
Please check out my last post about the new segment I am hoping to do in the next few weeks to two months. I really am planning to put a lot of effort into it, and I would love it if you guys commented, and shared your ideas and thoughts!
I've had some really good days being back at school. My focus level is higher considering I have no meaningless boy drama in my life, I have been complimented by many guys (one of them even said I was perfect. Hmm....), I have had a pretty intricate social life, in a good way that is, and my sister is happy, which makes me the happiest, and everybody is healthy thank goodness. Life is good when you know how to appreciate it.
I have been so freaking late to do this, but I am still doing it. AUGUST FAVORITES!!!
I have very little favorites for this month for some reason, but what can I do.
#1 A pair of shoes my mother got me. They are black suede loafers by the brand Rubi (which I don't know a thing about, so, if you do, please, tell me in the comments), and I am wearing them to death. I've worn them so much that I have a tan line. It's bad. I really needed black shoes, because all of mine got ruined at the same time for some reason, and because I mostly wear things that go with black shoes. My mother knows me so well <3
#2 My fake Tory Birch purse. It's nude, and can be turned into a clutch by removing it's straps, which is very convenient. It matches everything, It holds exactly the amount of things that I need for a night out, and it looks even better than the things Tory Birch has currently. Oh, and it cost me nothing, because it's fake and it's from China.
# My beloved Midnight Pomegranate body splash from Bath and Body Works, which I have been wearing ever since... 7th grade maybe, which makes it my favorite scent in the past 5 years almost. Flip! That is a LOT of time! It is such a sexy scent, it is sweet, fruity and musky, but not too sweet like some Victoria's Secret's scents, which, personally, I really dislike. Recommend it a bunch!
#My mama's food. After having eaten so much in China, and when my mother flew to see my sister, I have honestly missed her cooking so so much.

And, as usual, a song for a great month: Maybe I Love You by Lenka. XOXO Roni J.

Working 8 To 3 (July Favorites)

Hello hello pretty girls. And boys. Are there any boys and the crowd. If so, will you please stand up so we can see you? Just kidding. It's the computer. How will I see you?!
Sorry, I'm having a little bit of a nervous break down as I have been getting back from China, which I will tell you all about in a different post (sorry I have a lot on my heart), then I got snatched up by my father to replace his secretary who's traveling to all sorts of places at the moment even though I was sick (probably caught something on the plane), then got snatched up by a friend's acquaintance to walk her dog every evening, and soon my uncle needs me to kittysit his cat.
I am swomped! I haven't even fully gotten over whatever bug I got on the flight and already I have not one, not two, but three jobs, and the amount of will power I have right now stands at about the amount of will power it takes to sit on the couch all day, or, when I really am feeling better, the amount of will power it takes to go to the beach with my friends. It's summer vacation for crying out loud. Why did I ever agree to this?
I do have to admit, though, that all of these things are really for the better. I mean I don't do enough sports activities as is, so walk the dog is a really nice daily sport, and that cute little puppy is just so worth the time. I mean, if I have to spend an hour with anyone, I am really happy it's with this puppy and not a list of many other people I would go nuts after only walking with them once, and surely after doing so every day of the week for at least the rest of the summer break.
And the office job, although hard, is a lot of money for me and for my trip to Poland very soon, it helps me spend more time with my busy busy daddy, whom I've missed very much while being away for two weeks, and it teaches me some basic life skills. Nonetheless, I hate this job.
The kittysitting is really getting money for nothing, I feed the cat, give it water, change it's sand in what I like to call it the "oops I did it again" box, and I get to help my uncle which is a great man that has helped me so much over the years with math and chem.
Over all it is quite a positive thing to be working, and I do get to earn some money for myself rather than keep asking my parents for it. They know I work hard at school and come home from school very late, so they never say no, but I know that with both my trips, and my sister being abroad, and my brother's studies, and their up comming trip, I really don't want to put more weight on their shoulders.
It does suck though when everybody is going out and I have to be the Debby Downer and tell them that I have work in the morning over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and ova, and ova, and ova again.
Now that this is off my chest I can make some room for the more important stuff. The things I would spend all the money I'm earning right now over and over and over again. MYYY favorites. *Sigh of relief*
* For starters, as I have yet to make a haul of the things I bought while in China this is something you haven't seen yet. I actually didn't buy it in China. I bought it while I was in the duty free here, but it is a new Mac lipstick. I love me some lipsticks, and you know it, but lately I have been using my old-er ones much much less. It is the one, the only, cremesheen finish of a pink deliciousness, On Hold.
It is very pigmented. Slightly frightening for the woman who goes for nudes, but it is the most gorgeous shade of pink, especially suitable for people with blue or green undertones to their skin like, well, me (olive tones and stuff). It goes on smoothely like all of the cremesheens, is moisturizing, and for me it doesn't wear off very quickly, either. Very recommended. Have been wearing that and my friend's Russian Red almost the entire stay in China. Must get Russian Red. It's stunning.
* Another favorite for this month are my Birkestocks. I walked around in those everywhere, all the time, in China and back home. They are super duper comfortable shoes. They are good for almost everyday activity, this color (olvie suede) is indistructable and suits every outfit. I just love love love these. They were my go to shoe and I brought so many more pairs, but just didn't use them.

* My favorite song of the month of July must must be Hey Jude by the Beatles (duhh). While saying goodbye to everybody we've met in China we heard this song play in the background and now it shall forever remind me of the time I've had. I have always liked it, but now that it relates to all that happened at camp.... It's just a whole new song. Plus! They sang it in the opening ceremony for the Olympics. BEST THING EVERR! Love the Olympics.
*Next favorite is.... How surprising, the Olympics. I love watching all of the sports played out, and although I think it is basically legal torture of humans, it is very entetaining. I do, however, feel really bad for those who get hurt, or look like they had to go through hell and back to get to where they got, or those who's coaches give them the evil eye once they fail. Congratulations to all the winners so far. As you know I'm also a fan of ancient Greece so this just adds a little something something to my craving of Greek history. Glad It's not over yet.
*Favorite sport in the Olympics, by the way, is beach volleybal. I love volleyball to pieces and the beach volleyball makes it all the more summery and fun. Wish I had a spot on the beach where I could play beach volleyball.
* My favorite thing to wear this month, and every summer month, are DRESSES. So airy and comfortable to slip into, not sweaty, girly, and chic.
*Favorite place in the world currently is the fake market in Shanghai. Oh what a place. So many beautiful things. I didn't buy much, though. I bought a lot but considering the price I am really proud of my self. I also loved bargaining with the sales people. SO much fun. SO MUCH FUN. It is a problem for shopoholics though. It gets addictive.
Have a great day you guys. Take a sad song and make it better! <3 XOXO Roni J.

Fragile (May Favorites)

Hey girls (and boys. Do we have any boys here? If so, tell me, I feel like I would hate it if no one referred to me when I was reading a blog of theirs). How has this month passed? Was it any better than the last? Any worse (oh gosh I hope not).
So when I was about 13, I think, I went to a summer camp with a friend. It was a bible camp, even though that's not really my thing. I went there because she is my best friend (to this day), and it was a lot of fun, when I look back. The subject that year was fragile. How the world is so very fragile, how relationships are so very fragile, and how we need to take care of our surroundings, because we can never put together the pieces exactly the way they were before they cracked or shattered (depends on the case really). English is not my first language, so I didn't really know what the meaning was at first, but as time passed I came to know what this means.
The definition of fragile from dictionary.com is: easily broken, shattered, or damaged; delicate; brittle; frail.
In other words, I guess, it means breakable.
I don't know if I told you this before, but my sister left about a week ago to live abroad for a few months. I don't think I really have to stress how hard it was to have her leave, and how much I miss her every day she's away, and how hard it is to hear she's going through something hard and not to be able to hug her and to be there for her.
Yesterday my mother talk to her on Skype before she came home and she texted me "Will be held back a little, on Skype with your sister. Boy crisis". My sister met a guy before she went abroad who lives there and they talked almost everyday on Skype, and when she visited a few months ago they were doing alright and all this time he seems interested. As well as since she got there about a week ago.
Yesterday, after spending an entire day with her, a day she felt was perfect, a day when he was, apparently, marking his territory in front of his friends, after all that, he decides he doesn't want her anymore, and he just told her it's not what he wants.
Understandable. The guy decides that's not what he wants. I actually appreciate the honesty, but he could have said it sooner, he could have made her understand that he's not interested rather than making her believe that he really wants something to happen between them, he could have not waited this long, he could have not marked territory or waited a whole day to say it. But he didn't.
My sister is much more breakable than I am. Part of it is the fact that I let no one in maybe, and I am very calculated rather than gut follower. I almost never break, surely not in front of the person responsible, and I'm able of holding it in and not letting at show through. It's my specialty really.
I can honestly say I had a thousand scenarios of what I should have done to the guy who broke my sister's heart like, to the point where every time she heard our voices (voices from home) she started weeping. I am so protective of my family, especially her since she is, as I've said, so fragile.
My heart breaks at the sight of any person with a broken heart. I cry like a little girl. I mean, while watching Kyle XY, there were quite a few heart broken moments and I cried in each and every one of them. While watching the Hunger Games, I cried when Gale saw Peeta and Katniss kiss even thought I like Peeta better, just because I knew his heart must have been breaking, and those are fictional characters, so seeing someone real going through heartbreak, and someone that I love as much as I love my sister, I simply broke down.
Good thing I talked to her over the phone last night, because my voice did crack a little, but I really didn't want her to see the tears. Just hearing her cry, her voice so aching, her wanting to come back home, it was so hard not to cry.
Over all I think today she's probably better. I hope so. I will move on to my favorites right about now.

*Favorite T.V. Show: Kyle X.Y. I have literally talked about this a thousand times it feels like, but this is genuinely THE best show I have seen in a REALLY REALLY long time. It is a complete fiction, kind of science fiction teen drama show. I love it. I'm still not able to see the last episode they shot before the show got canceled, because I seriously don't want it to end.

*Favorite Person: Jean-Luc Bilodeau. This is the guy that plays Kyle's adoptive brother in the show and I can seriously say that, besides his good looks, he can portray so much emotion, he's funny, and half of the times I cried about something in the show (I cry a lot at seeing other people's pain) it was because of him. I am happy to say that he's coming out with a show called Baby Daddy very very soon, so I'll be on the lookout for it :) (It's going to be on ABC Family for whomever is in the U.S. and would like to try it out). Hopefully it's good. Just don't kill me if it isn't.

*Favorite Mascara: Loreal's Telescopic in brown. I know I said last month that I love PUPA's mascara, and I do think it is a great mascara, but the wand is SO extremely thick and uncomfortable. I love the formula, but the wand kills it for me. So I got back to using Loreal's Telescopic, which is also more lengthening, I would think, than the PUPA one, which I want more of than I want a thickening one. The wand is absolutely tiny, which is perfect for the bottom lushes as well. I like it!

*Favorite Artist: Paolo Nutini. This guy will forever, I hope, be my favorite artist. His lyrics are amazing, his voice sends chill up and down my spine, he is amazing (I haven't said it before enough). I have discovered new songs of his and I just fell in love all over again.

Favorite Song: Wake Up by Arcade Fire covered by (surprise surprise) Paolo Nutini. Amazing cover. So heartfelt and.... I just love him obviously.
Have a great weekend!!! XOXO Roni J.!

Watch Your Back

Hello hello pretty things.
How did your weekend go? Hopefully fantastic. Since today has been a great day, and generally in the past week things have been looking up, I decided I would do a really short talk and then get down to fashion business.
I finished another test today, and I think it went well. I got a good grade on my chemistry test, which is definitely cheerful considering I had THE hardest time studying for that one. I have a math test on Wednesday, which is huge, but I'm calm and I will do great. My guy friend and I are doing alright, better than a few days ago. Guys are still not really on my To *urgently* Do list (see what I did there?), but that is also OK, because that is the choice I made for the sake of myself, and I still find it's the healthiest state of mind I've been in with the whole "men" subject. Let's just say that a lot of weight has been lifted of my shoulders.

Speaking of which, today I'm going to talk about my favorite style of bags. Being a student, and a tall one at that, my back is pretty darn screwed up. I mean I carry so much to school, and my tall structure doesn't hold up all too well. Carrying a messenger bag or a purse to school would be really unhealthy for me, and a regular sports-y backpack is just... Not the greatest looking thing.
Thank the person who brought fashionable backpacks back into fashion, I can carry a handy dandy handsome backpack on shoulders and feel cool without looking like a complete dork. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they are cute, supportive, and useful.
Some of my favorites that I've found from different stores in different price ranges:
From Freepeople.com: Two beautiful ideas, but as freepeople usually are, they are a little pricey. Every girl and her price tag. The leather one is gorgeous, but I fear it's real leather, and I don't do too well with that plus it's like $528.......HELLOOO BIG NUMBERS. Not my piece of cake, but, hey, no judgements.
The tribal print backpack is a better choice in my opinion but still pretty expensive, rated at $178, which is better, but still.

From Urbanoutfitters.com: Two more beautiful backpacks. The first one is a MUCH cheaper alternative for the Freepeople tribal print one, which costs $59. I'm only showing you a few options, so bare it in mind that each store has many more to offer in other styles, but these are my favorites from each (with the exception of the leather one that if it were to be faux leather I would love it, but it isn't). The next one is a hard to describe one. It has all sorts of shapes on it with a splash of mint, which is the second or third favored color this season, after tangerine orange and rose gold. This one I think is the cheapest one out of all priced at $49.

From Topshop.com: Is a lonely backpack. This is the only one I found to be close to my taste, but obviously you can go there and check for yourselves if there's something better than that. It's floral, which is lovely for the summer. This one is priced at $68.

I must give it to Asos.com for having the best selection out of all these websites:  The first one is the neon detailed tribal print one to the side that is simply... GORGEOUS, in my opinion at least. The print, the neon, the shape. Ohhhh, es perfecto. It is priced at $69.58. The next one is that black and white one that has a whole lot of little drawings as its pattern. I love it a little less than the last one, but it's beautiful. It's $121.77, which is PRICEY, but, yet again, whatever you like.
The next one is so super duper cute! It's this coral color with the structured look and a scalloped edge that makes it girly and adorable. Seriously I'm in love with it. It is $60.88, and IT'S NOT LEATHER :D! Last but not least, yet another adorable one from ASOS is this navy one with orange detailing. I have no idea why I like it so much, but it just looks like a little face, and that is so cute! But it's $187.87 soooo. Meh.

One that I found on Ebay.com is this cute floral one. It's not exactly my favorite, but I thought it would be nice to see a cheaper alternative. I don't know how much I trust things I find on ebay, but you girls go ahead, if it suits you well. It is $28.99.
This song was introduced to me when I watched Kyle XY last week. I started watching it because I had nothing to watch. It is SUCH a good movie. It is going to be in my favorites this month. Here's Save You by Matthew Perryman Jones whom I love for his song called Amelia that I think I have posted here in the past, if not, will post soon :D
Now didn't this post save you? Kidding. XOXO Roni J.

Here's To.... (April Favorites)

Hello girls!
How have you been doing lately?
I have been doing better with the whole stress situation, and things are a little more calm again.
I have had a few things in April that really are worth toasting to:
Here's to being able to handle stress, and jump over every hurdle that's in my way even though I hate running.
Here's to being able to show myself that I am so much better than I give myself credit for.
Here's to learning how to stand up for myself, who I am, what I believe in, and what's important to me.
Here's to taking the space I need desperately, to stepping back, relaxing, to being selfish as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else.
Here's to knowing that being selfish (obviously as long as it doesn't hurt anybody) is human,
 allowed, and even necessary.
Here's to knowing what I want and achieving like a little princess rather than bawling and not getting myself anywhere.
Here's to looking forward into the future rather than digging into the past.
Here's to getting over people (not only guys) that do you wrong.
Here's to getting past issues and to forgiving.
Here's to knowing who I am, and not letting anybody, NO FREAKING BODY, tell me whom                                                                              You ain't got the right to tell me
I should be like or what I should be like.                       When and where to go, no right to tell me
Here's to doing what I think or feel is right.                  Acting like you own me lately
Here's to doing what IS right.                                        Yeah baby you don't know a thing about me
Here's for the past knowing where to stay.
Here's for loving the world.
Here's to complimenting others
Here's to loving who I am.
Cheers!

Mis favoritos son:
* Perfume! This month's favorite perfume of mine is Escada's "Escada". This perfume is sincerely SO good. It's smells like what angels would sound like if that makes any sense at all. It is pure, clean and fresh, which are all the things I would like to smell like in the sweaty months of the summer, but I'm on my last few drops and I haven't really seen it in drugstores, so hopefully when I go on the delegation in July (HURRAY!) I will find it in the duty free.
Fragrance Notes: . Notes include Bergamot, Black Currant, Leafy Greens, Cucumber, Italian Lemon, Sea Breeze Accord, Freesia, Honeydew, Magnolia, Jasmine, Muguet, Rose, Orange Blossom, Peony, Amber, Musk, Nectarine, Vanilla, Orris, Patchouli, Sandalwood.
Usually I absolutely despise scents with jasmine in them, so the fact that I like it so flipping much means a lot.

*Trend! My favorite trend for this month is sleeveless button up shirts! I will do a haul soon and show you the two I got from H&M, but here's an example from Urban Outfitters that I wanted to get really badly, but I haven't gotten around to buying it. Oh, well.

* Face wash! My favorite face wash was given to me by a friend that doesn't like this, and I used it when I slept over at her house. Apparently she ran out of hers while being abroad so she bought it instead and didn't like it. This thing is miraculous! The Clean & Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub is just one of the best face washes I've used and it is so very cheap. It is oil free, but even though I have dry to normal skin it's moisturizing in the right way. I don't use it everyday, because it's a scrub, which can irritate the skin and all, but it is GREAT.

*Concealer combo! I have really no right to complain about acne or whatever, but my under eye circles can look like a rainbow on a good day. These products are what I feel like do the best job in covering those babies up. First I put a real thin layer of the Garnier roll-on that is supposed to have caffeine that wakens your eyes in the morning, and cooling ingredients that are supposed to de-puff. I got the formula that is a little tinted, but in my opinion it is a little too orange, which is good for a corrector under the concealer so that the rather toneless concealer will not look blue. The concealer is good for both covering up circles, and for covering up acne. This concealer is PUPA's stick concealer in the shade 01 if anyone was wondering. Really both are amazing on their own, but in my case, with all the lack of sleep and the stress, the answer is BOTH.

*Mascara! Again PUPA's product, the Diva's Lashes mascara by them, which really volumizes your lashes and gives great definition. I'm still on the hunt for a more elongating one, so for any ideas and suggestions, hit the comments!

*Blush! Victoria's Secret's Very Sexy blush in Runway. It has two shades of pink that are really pretty. One is really shimmery, though, so anyone that doesn't like it can still use the side with the non-shimmery blush color which is completely matte. They're a peachy tone, but leaning more towards pink, so they look super natural, even though in the container they are SCAREY bright.

*Bronzer! Jade's Indian Wood bronzer is a shimmery rose-gold like tone. I like the shimmer because it adds dimensions to my face and gives it a natural looking glow that I don't have because of my pretty dry skin. If you don't like it STEP AWAY FROM IT, for your sake, really. Its tone enables it to multifunction as blush, as well.

* Lip product! Sephora's lip gloss in Pink Ballerina is the most beautiful light shade of pink that gives your lips the most natural glossy look. I have had the sampke size for forever now, and it is really holding up. Its texture is not sticky, and very moisturizing, but to be honest, although the smell is nice, the taste is a little iffy.

* Person! Honestly, and this is going to sound ridiculous, but my math teacher. She helped get more sure of myself and get through all the tests with good grades. She helped me feel better about myself and calm the heck down rather than FREAK OUT!

* Pride! My sister is finally decisive and decided on doing something useful for what she loves. She loves fashion as much as I do if not three times as much, and she decided on doing a local designers sale this Friday. I am so proud of her. Even the press was making an announcement about it.

* Singer! Olly Murs- this guy can sing! I love him so freaking much, for his cute upbeat music (for me that is upbeat, since I listen to depressing music all the time. Oopsies). I love his lyrics, which, to me, are the most important part of the song.

*Song! Anna Sun by Walk the Moon is definately my most played over and over song this month. Cheerful and cute, and the lead singer's moves just add on to this really, sincerely lovely song.  Give it a listen.

That's all girls! Love you very much! XOXO Roni J.
Here's to the month of May.
Cheers!
